Overview
During my tenure at Tailor, my primary focus revolved around spearheading the development of a robust digital product, a B2B2C SaaS platform, infused with a potent gamification strategy. While my expertise primarily lay in product design and UX/UI, I also found myself immersed in creative direction endeavors, especially of our Agency offer (on top of the. SaaS fee).
Our clients, eager to leverage our SaaS for crafting gamified experiences, sought not only the tools but also our gamification design proficiency. Thus, my responsibilities extended beyond mere product design to encompass the ideation and delivery of gamification elements such as collectibles, quest designs, and the integration of various gamified tools into cohesive experiences.
During my tenure at Tailor, my primary focus revolved around spearheading the development of a robust digital product, a B2B2C SaaS platform, infused with a potent gamification strategy. Thus, my responsibilities extended beyond mere product design to encompass the ideation and delivery of creative direction (brand, logo, spin-off brand…) and gamification elements such as collectibles, quest designs, and the integration of various gamified tools into cohesive experiences.
Spotlight: landing page
The desktop landing page, featuring a captivating hero banner, serves as a showcase for the value proposition, prominent partner brands, and the platform mascot—symbolizing the very essence of what it offers. "Tailored" for the web3 environment, the branding draws heavy inspiration from the visual aesthetics prevalent in the industry. With gamification at the core, the design language incorporates elements reminiscent of gaming culture, enriching the user experience with familiar visual cues and immersive storytelling.



Branding & Storytelling
Crafting Tailor's brand guidelines and assets was pivotal in my role, fueled by the creativity and opportunities inherent in the web3 industry. Beyond typical elements like logos and color palettes, I delved into mascot design, leveraging GenZ/geek visual cues to create innovative brand expressions.
"The Tailor," our eponymous mascot, embodies Tailor's spicy yet mysterious aura, offering exclusive collectible-filled mystery boxes. This approach resonated with the industry's embrace of mascots, enriching our brand narrative with engaging storytelling.
We embraced "Brand World-Building" in the metaverse era, utilizing 3D immersive web technologies to craft interactive digital environments reminiscent of video game worlds. This strategy extended to tangible assets, including character and prop designs that seamlessly integrated into Tailor's platform.
Cross-over collaborations with partner brands further enriched our offerings, blending assets to create unique experiences for our audience.

As a startup, Tailor opted for a rational and scalable User Experience Research (UXR) approach. We leveraged the community we cultivated on Discord over time, establishing a direct communication channel with our beta testers from "The Tailorverse" test community. With over 100 highly engaged Tailor enthusiasts (acknowledging a bit of survivor bias here), we tasked them with monkey-testing our beta features and providing direct feedback.
This grassroots approach enabled us to implement rapid iteration cycles based on prioritization, ensuring swift and effective refinement of our platform. By tapping into our dedicated community's insights and enthusiasm, we could "tailor" our development process to meet the evolving needs and expectations of our users.
Design System Lite

Building a robust yet flexible design system was a significant aspect of my role. I adopted a "Lite" approach, prioritizing atomic key components while maintaining flexibility for quick iteration cycles, inspired by Linear's methodology. Regular collaboration with the development team was essential to ensure the design system's adoption and seamless implementation across the codebase.
Conducting functional and CSS code reviews with the developers ensured alignment on all strategic components for design consistency. This experience allowed me to gain seniority in the field while maintaining a rational mindset for the design system's scope and reach.

We developed essential features to enhance gamification and sales cycles, including Fusion (merging NFTs into "super NFTs"), token-gated memberships, diverse quest types and hierarchies, and a streamlined marketplace with robust purchase and bidding processes.

My art direction and assets have had the honor of being featured on the massive screens at Le Grand Rex's storefront for six months, alongside renowned movies such as Barbie and Oppenheimer. Furthermore, the characters and brand I've developed are prominently displayed at L'Olympia and will continue to be showcased there indefinitely.
